Vivienne practices in the fields of corporate and tax-exempt law. Her experience includes providing counsel to nonprofit and for profit entities on mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other business transactions, corporate governance, formation and structure, and obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status.
Representative Work
- Advised a historical society in its acquisition of antique works from the 19th and early 20th century
- Advised liberal arts college in its acquisition of the assets of a school of music
- Advised a large religious organization in connection with its spinoff of its youth division
- Advised a large cultural organization in its proposed reorganization involving another cultural center to form a consolidated cultural center for music, dance, theater and arts education
Background
Before joining Perlman & Perlman, Vivienne was an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where she practiced law in both the Mergers and Acquisitions and Exempt Organizations practice groups. Following her tenure at Skadden, Vivienne was the Director of Government & Community Engagement at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts where she advocated for public support of Lincoln Center’s education and community programs.
