Karen Wu’s practice focuses on governance, corporate law, tax-exempt law, nonprofit fundraising and cause-related marketing regulation, and trademark law, including registration, licensing, and enforcement.
Experience
Ms. Wu served as a summer law clerk to the Honorable Richard M. Berman, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York, and as a law intern with the New York State Attorney General’s Charities Bureau.
Professional & Nonprofit Affiliations
Ms. Wu is a board member of the New York City chapter of the Christian Legal Society and New York Christian Legal Services, and is a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York and the Cause Marketing Forum.

Ms. Wu has written several articles on legal issues facing the nonprofit sector, including Internet nonprofit fundraising, cause-related marketing and excess benefit transactions.
