He counsels on the use of virtual currency and its related technologies in business transactions. Jeremy advises on compliance with state and federal regulations related to the use of innovative software payment solutions, such as the transfer of gift cards and frequent flyer miles, for donations to nonprofits.

Representative Work
  • Assisted a national cancer-related public charity in the launch of an innovative web-based tool and advised regarding ongoing compliance with IRS requirements for maintaining tax-exempt status.
  • Represented a new public charity and ensured compliance with applicable federal and state regulations in establishing international operations, reviewing grant applications, and preparing grant agreements with recipient charities.
  • Advised a leading financial technology startup regarding state and federal regulatory compliance and assisted with the drafting and submission of the application for a New York virtual currency license.
  • Represented an international private equity firm in the sale of substantially all of the assets of a U.S. subsidiary.
