Barbara Nagel joined Perlman & Perlman in 2008. She represents both businesses and nonprofit organizations in governance and transactional matters. She has been practicing law for over 25 years and has extensive experience in public/private partnerships and joint ventures, economic and community development, real estate, and social entrepreneurship.
Experience
Ms. Nagel served on the senior management committee and as general counsel of a $1 billion privately-held group of companies covering more than 15 industries, including real estate and venture capital. She took a two-year leave from traditional law practice to work in the nonprofit sector as executive director of a community development agency and as director of development for a nationally recognized film arts organization.
Professional & Nonprofit Affiliations
Ms. Nagel is the former president of the New York City chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and serves on foundation, nonprofit, and advisory boards, including the White House Project, the Alpern Family Foundation, and the Cinema Arts Centre.

Ms. Nagel has presented on topics including social enterprise, private/public partnerships, and community development financing. She appeared on CNN-fn to discuss women entrepreneurship.
